Description

Founded by immigrants from Antioquia in 1934, Finca Samaria is the legacy of Gerardo Escobar Mesa and Enriqueta Ceballos, whose entrepreneurial spirit transformed a small parcel of land in Belén de Umbría, Colombia, into a celebrated coffee estate. Nestled in the fertile hills of Risaralda within Colombia’s Western Cordillera, the farm benefits from rich volcanic soils, abundant rainfall, and an ideal coffee-growing climate. Over four generations, the family has carefully expanded and preserved the estate while remaining deeply committed to quality, tradition, and sustainable cultivation.

Situated between 1,000 and 2,000 meters above sea level, Finca Samaria experiences an average temperature of 19°C and receives more than 2,260 mm of annual rainfall, creating exceptional growing conditions. Its location within the tropical mountain zone provides consistent humidity, gentle temperature variations, and remarkable stability throughout the harvest seasons. The result is a coffee that reflects eighty years of dedication, offering a beautifully balanced and consistently expressive cup.
