Frequently Asked Questions
Questions Before You Visit
From late-night coffee runs to preorder pickups, here are answers to some of the most common questions about Fawkes Café & Bakery.
Where is Fawkes Café & Bakery located?
You’ll find us at 10137 104 Street SW in the heart of downtown Edmonton on the 104th Street Promenade which is home to the Downtown Farmers Market, nestled between Jasper Avenue and Rogers Place in the historic 1911 Great West Saddlery Building.
Are you really open “Everyday All Day” as your motto says?
We sure are! Fawkes is open 8 AM – 10 PM daily, including holidays. The only two days we close completely are Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
Is Fawkes Café & Bakery pet friendly?
Yes! Dogs are welcome in our lobby seating area, as it’s separate from the food establishment. If you’re grabbing something to go, feel free to bring your pup in line with you. And don’t be shy — ask for a dog treat if our team forgets to offer one!
Is your café barrier-free accessible?
Unfortunately, no. Our space is in a 110-year-old heritage building with six steps up to enter. We received a provincial barrier-free relaxation due to the impossibility of adding a compliant ramp.
Do I need a reservation?
No reservations needed — we’re proudly walk-in friendly with lots of seating that turns over quickly. We do accept reservations outside peak hours (evenings) for groups of 4–10, and will occasionally book out the entire lobby for private gatherings.
Can I order Fawkes Café & Bakery online for pickup or delivery?
Yes! You can order ahead for pickup directly through our website, or have us delivered
through UberEats for when you need Fawkes from the comfort of your home/office.
Do you have gluten-free, vegan, or dairy-free options?
Absolutely. Our café was built on vegan doughnuts, and most of our pastries, sandwiches, and drinks can be made gluten-free, dairy-free, or vegan. The doughnuts will never be gluten free, but we always have at least a couple other gluten free baked goods out. Our baristas can point you toward great options — and yes, we don’t charge extra for dairy-free milks!
Are the pastries and baked goods made in-house?
Every single day! Our bakery is in use from 3 AM to 11 PM so you always get fresh-baked focaccia, doughnuts, and pastries — all made from scratch right here at Fawkes.
What flavour doughnuts/baked goods do you have?
Our flavours rotate often — we like to keep things exciting! You can check our current menu to see what’s fresh this week.
Do you serve beer and wine?
Yes, we do! Our house red and white wines are imported from France exclusively for Fawkes,
and we offer a curated selection of over 25 bottles served bistro-style by the bottle, or available
to take home for a reverse corkage fee. From Lambrusco to orange wine, biodynamic to old-
world and new-age varieties, plus Prosecco and rosés, there’s something for every mood.
You’ll also find a rotating lineup of local beers, canned cocktails, and ciders to pair perfectly
with whatever you’re having.
I’d like coffee and baked goods for my office — do you do that?
We sure do. For doughnuts by the dozen or 96 oz coffee travellers, you can order directly here. For larger or custom orders, send us an email and we’ll suggest some delicious options.
Where else can I get your doughnuts and baked goods?
You can also find our doughnuts and baked goods at some of our favourite Edmonton cafés.
Do you have plug-ins and free Wi-Fi?
Of course! Our Wi-Fi password is “Doughnuts” (spelled the Canadian way). Every fleur-de-lis on the wall marks a plug-in underneath. We designed Fawkes for long, comfy stays — upholstered seats, dozens of outlets, and fast Wi-Fi are non-negotiables.
Where do I park?
There’s plenty of paid street parking nearby, plus parkades within a block. Sundays and
holidays are cheaper downtown, and paid parking means high turnover (so spots open up often). We’re also LRT-accessible via the Bay/Enterprise Square exit, and with the Valley Line stop just two blocks away.
Can I have a photo shoot in the café?
We love when guests capture the Fawkes atmosphere. As long as it doesn’t impact other customers, go for it! After 4 PM is usually the best time to move around more freely. And don’t forget to tag us on Instagram — we love resharing your photos. If it involves just a few people please reach out!
How do I apply for a job?
We’re always looking for passionate, kind humans to join the team. You can apply on our website, email us your resume, or drop it off in person — we’d love to meet you.
Do you sell gift cards?
I love your café — how can I support you even more?
That means the world to us. The best ways to support Fawkes:
- Leave us a Google review so others can find us
- Follow and share our posts on Instagram
- Bring your friends for coffee, baked goods, and sandwiches
- Grab a bag of beans or browse our retail shelf and online shop
When are your free live music nights?
